Dawn Chorus Discovery

Come and celebrate International Dawn Chorus Day with us at Broken Bridges Nature Reserve! We’ll share our birdsong knowledge including tips for remembering the calls and songs of different species.

Birdsong for Beginners Course
Fri 8th – 29th May 2026
Over 4 Friday mornings, we’ll share our knowledge on the best ways to learn to recognise birds’ songs and calls, including tips for remembering which bird is making which sound.

People in the Park
Saturday 16th May 2026
A free community event at Queen Elizabeth Gardens, featuring live music, local stallholders (including Wildilfe and Wellbeing!), food, and environmentally friendly businesses.

Salisbury Bat Night
Saturday 23rd May 2026
Join us to learn about and look for bats in Salisbury. Our meeting point will be Queen Elizabeth Gardens. We’ll use bat detectors to listen to the beautiful bat rhythms on a guided mini adventure.

Birds and Trees for 11-16 year olds

FREE SESSION! Explore the amazing greenspaces of Bemerton Folly and Pinewood Open Space. Learn to identify birds by sight and song and learn about different tree species.

Nature Detectives

A nature play session for families with children aged between 3 and 10 years. Come and explore Rose Cottage garden at Harnham Water Meadows and take part in fun and creative hands-on activities.

Salisbury Bat Night
Saturday 20th June 2026
Join us to learn about and look for bats in Avon Valley Nature Reserve. We’ll meet at Five Rivers Leisure Centre and use bat detectors to listen to the beautiful bat rhythms on a guided mini adventure.

Summer Solstice Sunset Celebration
Sunday 21st June 2026
Join us to celebrate the longest day of the year and the official start of summer. We go on a nature walk, share a mindful moment and share hot drinks and cake together as the sun sets.

Mindfulness in Nature Retreat
Tue 8th – Wed 9th Sept 2026
A Retreat for Mindfulness Teachers and Practitioners.
Take some time for yourself, immerse yourself in nature and reconnect with your personal mindfulness practice in a private ancient woodland near Salisbury.

Wildlife and Wellbeing Online
Bespoke sessions for groups available on request
An interactive online session to introduce Wildlife and Wellbeing. Learn about seasonal wildlife, take part in a fun quiz and practice mindfulness techniques. Optional – 10 min discussion of a relevant topic in breakout rooms.
